Hi! Sorry we haven't posted! Great news!

Post by Jason&Amy »

Hey guys and gals! Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. Things have been getting very exciting around here! I started my job on Monday and it is going great! Dr. Nath is going to do the surgery at NO CHARGE for Jason and we are trying to get financial assistance for the use of the hospital facilities. The surgery is scheduled for April 19th. So now we are trying to find flights. I don't know which airport to fly into and someone had posted about free or discounted flights for medical reasons. Any info on that would be great!

As far as the fundraiser goes, we are post-poning it. We still have plans to do it to get the info about this injury out to the public. I will keep you all posted on that.

Well everyone, thank you for everything! We don't know what we would do without you. You guys have made such a difference in our lives. We are so grateful that we found you! Have a wonderful holiday and I hope this message finds you all well!

WOW! that is beyond the best!

Check out this page... http://www.injurednewborn.com/maia/travel.html - all the airline info is there - but it's mostly for children - but call anyway - since this is a medical emergency really - maybe they will help out. Also the medical mercy flights - angel flights, etc. They might be able to help - it's all on that page.

Also - many people have frequent flyer mileage that they will lose if they don't use it or give away...maybe you can ask your religious community or local community etc for someone to donate their frequent flyer miles for this? This could be a great TV story actually.... call the news maybe they'll run your story and request.

OR maybe a bpi attorney can donate some frequent flyer miles? (probably one who travels all over for bpi families?) Maybe someone who has won / settled their case can ask their attorney if they were interested in helping??

Well I'm so excited and I just hope and pray that the surgery will help as much as it is intended to help.

thanks so much for posting this!!!

Jason and Amy,

That is great news. UBPN can provide you with a letter (as we are a 501c3 organization) that you can give to airlines to aid in your request for free or reduced airfare. Email nancy@ubpn.org for more information.

Good luck,
Bridget
