I am not from Baltimore (as you already know), but I have been there before. Check out the harbor and there's supposed to be a great aquarium nearby. It is a wonderful place. I will be going back in May 2006 for the AWHONN conference to do a poster presentation on Nursing Care for a Brachial Plexus Injury in the Newborn. Good luck with the move.

Re: Is there anyone out there in Baltimore?
We lived in baltimore when I had Briana-lobpi...she is 4 now. We were there for 5 years and its a great city. If you are looking for a doctor in the area I highly recommend Dr. Katherine Alter. She has one location south of baltimore not far from columbia and was just starting to work out of the childrens hospital in baltimore when we were moving. She is wonderful with the children and parents and of course on BPI itself. She was the first doctor we saw that gave us a book with info on the injury. Her wait list to get in can be up to a year so call early!!
Also, contact Maryland State Infant and Toddler Program
Phone: (800) 535-0182 they are the early intervention program for children 0-3yrs. in maryland that provides in home OT/PT speech or whatever your daughter qualifies for.
Let me know if I can help with anything else...Briana was born at Sinai hospital and spent her first 3 years there being treated.
