As many of you know, I have been putting off seeing a doctor. I finally nade an appointment for an exam. I am still pretty nauseous. But, Javier is almost 2 and I need to stop being a chicken and see a gyn. Wish me luck. appt. 12-6-05.
Thanks, Marlyn

Marlyn,
Isn't it so true how we take care of others before taking care of ourselves.
Let us know how things go.

Jared's mom, sounds just like me. I will definately let you all know how I do. With out all the details...lol. I guess I could keep those to myself.

I am now in the process of finding a family practitioner. I have to get TB test, and get started on a HepB series. All have to be current so I can work.

Way to go. You have more guts than me. I have been going to the women's clinic in town rather than the GYN. I haven't seen my OB but twice since Brayden's birth. My sons therapy is at the same hospital where he was born. That is when I saw him getting on the elevator. And then my 6 wk check up, I was still in shock. I felt like tackling him right there. Anyhow sorry for all that. Hope everything goes well. Let us know if you survived. Best of Luck

I have to warn you that you will not get much sympathy about your child's injury from any OB, so please don't set yourself up for disappointment. I hope you are not going to your delivering OB since this would be bad for legal reasons.

I forgot to say good luck. You are brave and you know you have to take care of yourself for your children's sake.
Re: gulp- i did it.
momofnickelman- no way would I EVER go back to that doc. For ANY reason. But, I also don't expect any sympathy from a doc here, simply because I am back in the same area and most likely the 2 will know eachother. I learned very quickly how they stick together. After JAvier was born, I tried to make an appointment with the family practitioner that sent me to the OB that delivered Javier. I was a patient there for over 2 years, as well as my husband and older son. She told me that she wouldn't feel comfortable doing a 6 week check on me and I should just suck it up and go back to the OB, because really, what more could she do to hurt you. Can you believe that!!!! I was appalled. Thanks for the warning though.

I WENT TO ANOTHER OB FOR MY CHECK UP. HE SAID BPI IS EVERY OB'S NIGHTMARE. TO BAD I DIDN'T USE HIM. BECAUSE OF LOCATION PROBLEMS. SOME OB'S ARE GOOD. I DID NOT GET MY 6 WEEK UNTIL ABOUT ONE YEAR.
