Calling Kath!

Post by lucm »

Kath
You seem to be the go to girl,so I am going right to you. I am seeing a specialist and don't know what to ask him, or if he knows much about BPI.Plus he is the doctor that my company is sending me to. I work at UPS and at times I can throw up to 10000 LBS in 10 min.( I used a calculator) I feel my arm going numb more each day.I don't know if he will look out for my best interests. What would you ask him?
Thank you very much for the help

Injury Description, Date, extent, surgical intervention etc: I am ROBPI, global injury, Horner's Syndrome. No surgery but PT started at 2 weeks old under the direction of New York Hospital. I wore a brace 24/7 for the first 11 months of my life. I've never let my injury be used as an excuse not to do something. I've approach all things, in life, as a challenge. I approach anything new wondering if I can do it. I tried so many things I might never have tried, if I were not obpi. Being OBPI has made me strong, creative, more determined and persistent. I believe that being obpi has given me a very strong sense of humor and compassion for others.
Location: New York

I will reply when I have more time Luke.
I hope some of the other OBPI's will chime in too.
We have tons of questions... for new doctors.

I am off to Thanksgiving Dinner and won't be back until late tonight...
I'll get back tomorrow.
Have a good day
