splints and airplanes

i am just curious as to how the new air port regulations effect the searching under the splint. before no one has ever made her take her splint off coming home from the hospital but we will return again in oct so i was just wondering if the procedures had changed in regard to the splint

well there won't be any metal in there....so they will do the metal detector thing and it'll be fine (now don't go hiding anything under there!! LOL)
