I too can't say enough great things about Dr. Nath. He has been our doctor for almost 8 years now. He has always been patient, caring and has always included my daughter in our discussions if possible. He is prompt to return emails and phone calls and is always there for me/us if needed!

Your experience with Dr.Nath
Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
Hi MomOf2Great kids.....( I know I didn't get your sign in name correct, sorry )
You bring up a very interesting point in your recent post and I was just discussing it with my husband. The point I found interesting is that you feel because you are a single Mom perhaps you get treated differently. I agree , I believe that is true. When we take our daughter to see her Specialist at Children's Hospital we go as a famiy, however two times my husband has been unable to join us . Both of those 2 times he was not there I was treated poorly by the very doctor that is so great and helpful when my husband is there!
This is no right at all, I am disappointed.
I sympathize with you and know that I too understand how it feels to be treated ubruptly and less than kind.

We just moved from north jersey to Houston mostly to be by Dr. Nath. I'd love to share Julia's experience with Dr. Nath with you. With all do respect for the others, in my opinion Nath is #1 E-mail us...at sqeeky23@aol.com Would love to chat we miss NJ already... we know a great therapist also
Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
I am replying to my own post here because I want to make things clearer. First off - I do think that Dr. Nath is a good doctor. I have heard so many positive things about him. When asked about any experiences with older kids - I just wanted to help and although it might not have been what some wanted to hear - it was OUR experience, and I was just stating what had happened during our appt. I know that if I was asking about a Dr I'd want to hear all sides - not just what I wanted to hear. The more info the better. What I don't get is why, when asked for "experiences" with this doctor, should those who have had bad experiences not be allowed to tell them??? That makes no sense - we are all here to share info. I posted what had happened to us.

Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
Dr. Nath has given my son a world that was taken away from him at birth by another doctor. That is what I know for sure. I thank God everyday for giving Dr. Nath the drive, compassion and knowlege to help our children get to their fullest potential. Thank you Dr. Nath for all you have done for my son!
Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
Christy, I am one of the people who likes to hear the good and the bad. However, when I want to share the "bad" experiences I've had with any drs., I usually just simply state on the board that I didn't have a good experience there and invite people to e-mail me if they'd like to hear more about it. I think in this post you did more than just state what happened during your appt. b/c you actually also stated your opinion or perception of how things went and how Dr. Nath felt, such as the following:
"he basically ignored her...he didn't SEEM to care...TO ME she was a project to him...He SEEMED annoyed when she spoke...I left there FEELING that he was very rude"
I understand that you had a bad experience and I think you should share that you did. However, I think that when you get into sharing your feelings or perceptions of what happened or how HE felt is where the problem lies. While they are your feelings and you're entitled to them (and apparently entitled to post them here), they are offensive to some people.
I've seen you post before about your experience with Dr. Nath, but I've never seen you word it quite so harsh as this (repeatedly saying how he was twisting her arm).
I'm not in a position to question UBPN keeping your reply, but I will just say that I'm very surprised that they did. I think that if anyone were to come one here and name their OB/GYN and post things like that it w/b deleted -- just my opinion and I certainly m/b wrong, but the post really seems to be borderline violating the policies. I'm sure you weren't intentionally trying to start a flame, but did you really expect to post that and not upset anyone? I'm sure it's difficult for the moderators in making these kinds of decisions. Anyway, just thought I'd try to respectfully let you know why you got some unhappy replies which were apparently deleted while your post remains.

Tina, (and all),
I am sorry.
I was just stating facts and I do apologize for my wording. I did not think at that time that my wording was so harsh. Like I said though - I was stating facts and you can email me privately if you want to. Again - I do apologize - but this is an open forum for our experiences and I was just stating ours.
Sorry,
Christy

What a soap opera why can't everyone stop trying to stomp on one anothers first amedment rights. If someone asks a question, or for someones opinion, than they should be prepared for the answer whether or not it is or isn't what he/she wanted to hear.

Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
Thank you Brandon. I totally agree. It would serve us all best if we would just be open to everything and not be so worried about protecting any doctors image. These are PARENTS and their experiences are real and valid (good and bad), despite our own personal level of comfort with them. I am much more concerned about the parents and the children than trying to shed only positive light on my child's doctor. I need to have my eyes open and we are entitled to hear various experiences. If we are only open to one sided information then we are putting ourselves in a vulnerable position, no matter what doctor we are talking about and in the past the focus has been on others as well.
It was mentioned that parents should not "state your opinion or perceptions". People share opinions and perceptions all the time here, so why can't someone share their opinion or perception regarding a negative experience. People share their opinions and perceptions regarding their doctor being the best there is, #1, etc., etc. It seems like a double standard.
I hope everyone can feel free to share. We should be here for each other and personally I feel bad for what the poster and her child had to go through. Let's suppport each other guys. Shouldn't that be our #1 priority? We can't do that if we are so worried about making all of these guys look like saints. I am grateful for my doctors services and really appreciate him based on my experiences with him, but those are limited and my mind is always open to a dose of a different experience or reality. I just wish we could be comfortable and not take it so personally.

Re: Your experience with Dr.Nath
well i agree I ask about "experience's" I did not say only good I wanted any and all experiences some will get removed unfortunitly that's why i made sure to leave my e-mail address. I think all response should be allowed as long as your not useing fowl lanuage. I am stiil looking for more info so everything good or bad is welcomed if not here then e-mail is just as good. P.S it's a sad thing to hear that single moms get treated poorly, I wonder do single dad's get that to????
