Cindy,
Thanks for getting the word out. It's too bad that it wasn't the weekend we are going to be down in Philly! Maybe I could try to convince my daughter's therapists to go since it is closer.

Re: 3d scan results report
<t>I picked up the scans on CD first, looked at them, sent them to Dr. Nath and Shenaq, let my daughter's therapists look at them, and showed them to her PM&R doctor. ALL of them found various problems but when we got a copy of the scan report is said that NO misalignments or problems with miner...

Anterior Subluxation?
Has anyone been told that their child has an anterior subluxation rather than a posterior one? If so, have you been given any options of what can be done?

Re: Dominant Side Questions
<t>Cherie,<br/> <br/> My daughter's injured right side is her dominant side. She is 3 yrs old and we are waiting to see what will come back. I think it does help her to be more aware of her arm and try to use it; although she gets very frustrated too. Her OT said that she will probably be ambidextri...

<t>Natalie,<br/> <br/> I have never been told that my daughter has an inferior but is sounds the same as Logan's per the x-ray. We were told that she was subluxated after her 8/02 x-ray. During the acromioplasty/caps the cut the end of the acromion (and clavicle if needed) to allow the humerus to st...

<t>Natalie,<br/> <br/> I'm sorry for your frustration. I know exactly what you are going through because we are at the same place for my daughter. She recently had a 3D CT scan taken of her shoulders. The affected side was sooo different from the other side. TCH is recommending the acromioplasty/cap...

Shoulder Joint Questions
<t>My 3 yr old daughter just had a 3D CT scan taken of her shoulders. Her right (affected) side is soooo different from her left side. The angle of the clavicle is almost straight across (her OT is worried that it might compress the thorax vessel?) rather than angled up, there is a gap between the h...

Shoulder Joint Questions
We had a 3D CT scan done of my daughter's shoulders. Does it seem that most kids with a OBPI have a space between the shoulder joint and the top of the humerus? Does anyone know why? What is holding the bone near the joint but not in it? Is the acromioplasty supposed to help that issue?

Additional Pec Release
Has anyone's child had to have a pec release done a second time? (My daughter had her pec released minimally (20%) during the mod quad, but it is really tight again.) Was it done in conjunction with another surgery? Did it help with movement? Did it cause any losses?

Re: 3D CT Scan Results
I found the 3D CT scan so interesting and telling. My daughter's humerus is not posterially dislocated. It seems like it is dropping down from the socket rather than being pushed forward or back.
