touch sensitivity

<t>my son, peyton, is 4. recently, he's started complaining about everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, feeling uncomfortable. i know at this age, whining is natural, but does anyone else's bpi children have any particular touch sensitivity? when he was an infant, he preferred bumpy-type material. is i...

i'm not really sure. peyton received intensive therapy for one week after his cast came off. then we took him to an ot in our area. i bet if you call the shriners closest to you, they's tell you. good luck!

peyton in shriners magazine!

<r>Sorry I've been away for so long! I've enrolled back in school and have very little time to breathe! Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know to check out Shriners' website <URL url="http://www.shrinershq.org">www.shrinershq.org</URL>. There is an article about Dr. Kozin and Peyton's picture is with...

Re: Please Help....

Has your lawyer compared the OB records to the nurses records. I'm under the impression that there should be 2 separate accounts: one the OB's and one the nurses. Perhaps they won't jive...Good Luck! My prayers are with you and your child.

Back from Philly Shriners!

<t>Peyton & I returned from our visit with Dr. Kozin. He is doing wonderfully! Dr. Kozin is pleased with his progress and has given us the go-ahead to resume ALL activities, including skateboarding and snow tubing! Yeah! He also saw his OT who refitted his elbow splint. His elbow extension impro...

Re: Public VS Private Schools ??

<t>Francine, I have no useful information for you. I'm not really familiar with the PHilly schools. Peyton is only 3 and will not be entering school for quite awhile: I'll be learning from all of you and your experiences. I am experienced with the PA IEP system, but not related to physical detriment...

Re: Closure?

<t>Wow. Your post is powerful-the feelings flow through the words. I have not yet reached your stage in regards to our lawsuit. Our lawyer has yet to file. Sitting where I am today, I try to remind myself that though what happened to Peyton was unjust and unfair, God has an ultimate plan for all of ...

Re: School therapy question

<t>Tessie, my heart hurt when I read your post. There should be no reason why our school districts cannot accomodate our children. I guess I get sort of fired up about this because I work in an alternative education setting where approximately 60% of our students are "special education" students: mo...

Re: Update on Reflexologist

Cindy, thanks! I was wondering because none of Peyton's doctors have recommended alternative therapies, but I have been reading everyone's posts about how successful alternative therapies can be. Does your insurance cover any of the reflexology/mayofacial release?
