Re: Arm Sling
Hi Lisa...Jeff here. I'm really sorry to hear of your continuing struggle to find a local BPI treatment expert. As you know, you and I sustained very similar injuries about 2weeks apart. I too avulsed C5 - T1 and have a very flaccid left arm and no hand feeling or movement. I can barely flex my wris...

Re: ROLL CALL ( LURKERS TOO!!!!!!! )
Hi all. My name is Jeff and I'm from Springboro, Ohio. I had a mva on 8/07/11 with multiple serious injuries that were life threatening, so TBPI was diagnosed but not treated for 4 months while I was recovering.

Re: World Open One Armed Golf Championship!
Congrats Dan...such an amazing experience and those pictures are so awesome. I can hear your sense of passion and excitement come thru in your words describing your play on the 18th...and to knock that 4wood and get a birdie is a memory of a lifetime. I'm so happy for you. Did you pause and take a p...

Re: World Open One Armed Golf Championship!
Hi Dan, Here's to hoping you hit it long and straight, and had a few 1 - putts today! That picture is amazing...I understand what you say about the swing plane but what about your other arm...I can't believe you just put your hand in your pocket instead of an athletic sling. Good for you. Can I ask ...

Re: Omega-3 Fatty Acids Could Prevent and Treat Nerve Damage.
Bumping this back to the top... I'm on daily doses of Omega-3 tablets (3-4per day) plus B-Complex (2 per day) and I've had tremendous recovery rate including the Dr's treating me at Mayo saying how astonished they are with my rate of healing and strength achieved in the muscles coming back. I don't ...

Re: World Open One Armed Golf Championship!
Geez Dan, that sounds so awesome. I hope you hit 'EM long and straight!!! Keep us updated on the fun and when you get back, I would love to hear your tips on playing with one arm. My TBPI has left me (currently anyway) with no use of my left arm and hand, but I'm ready to rip away with my good arm. ...

Re: 2 years post op....burning, tingling, how much better?????
Hi Teri and Duane, This is Jeff and I have a left arm TBPI, and I'm being treated by doctors at Mayo. Can you give me your doctor's name...the ceasing of PT sounds very strange as my dr (and others I've seen) are very impressed with the strength and progress I continually make as a result of constan...

Re: progress
Congrats JMAR...that is so awesome! I hope you just keep right on going. I am 10 months post injury and 3 months post op with nerve transfer and can just now feel hot/cold in my thumb, but rest of hand/wrist is numb and without any function. I'm hoping I get some hand/finger movement sometime in the...

Re: Dislocated Shoulder
Hi Lisa, You and I had our accidents at the same time last year and we seem to suffer some of the same ailments. My shoulder is sublacated (fun word for dislocated meaning it hurts like hell). It has taken me almost 7 months to get to the point where my shoulder is strong enough that I don't where a...
