Alheim, from what i have gathered the type of tendon transfer for this condition(radial palsy) is all and all beneficial but i have also read that when you have a tendon transfer done for this there is a slight loss of grip. Im six years in to this injury and i am considering the sacrifice.

Nice. Your notion definitley seems to sway towards the positive. My bpi hand has grip but no finger extention and wrist drop so im hoping a tendon transfer will help. Thanks for the info Jmar.

How successful is a hand tendon transfer?
Has anyone had a tendon transfer that did alot of good for them? Im just curious if its worth it and it doesn't make your hand weaker considering they sacrifice a healthy muscle when doing this. If someone could describe the pros and cons of their experience that would be great.

If you have loss of function in your hand and arm that has remained since your injury I would look up a bpi specialist. Most doctors and physicians seem to lack proper knowledge on how to treat this type of injury (tbpi) when the proper treatment is a must. There's a six month window in treating thi...

Im glad obama is the president...does any one else feel the same way. To be honest ill bet his healthcare plan creates more routes towards us getting the proper medicene and treatment we need for our disabilities. This way we can function better...

When I woke up from surgery although not painful I still felt overwhelmed in a sense that I felt like a drill hit me metaphorically speaking if this helps..im happy with this surgery.
