Cole started walking officially at about 16 months. He walks a little funny, but his arm hasn't slowed him down at all as far as gross motor skills compared to his peers. At 15 months, your little guy is still within normal limits for kiddos with no injury!

Thank you for responding! The more I look at him, it seems as if his affected shoulder isn't really raised, but he definitely has a curve around the left rib cage/spine. Thank you so much for replying! We saw Cole move his arm outward before flinging it onto his body (usually just rolls it inward) and we were ecstatic, but he hasn't done it much since. We are just so wanting him to heal, like any parent, and hoping that he does so without surgery. Poor little babies...

I'm sorry that I don't have any tips for you, because I have a baby with BPI. But I'm thankful you posted, I'm always interested to learn what it might feel like to him, since he can't tell me in words. I hope you do get answers, and I really hope your arm will fully heal!
