Sunburns and tans
<t>Hey everyone!<br/> <br/> I've been out in the sun a bit recently, and a couple of times I got a bit sunburned. I've noticed that my bpi shoulder A)burns faster than my good shoulder and B) is less tan when the sunburn wears off, even if it was burned worse. I'm thinking that maybe it has somethin...

Re: Hello friends
<t>Hopeless,<br/> <br/> Married with two kids? That doesn't sound bad at all to me. There's three people who will love you, arm and all. And you're right, life is hard, and having a BPI can make it harder. But so can so many other things. Depression certainly makes it harder too. You should try to s...

Re: shaving under arms
<t>Anna,<br/> <br/> I usually shave the lover halves of my legs while I'm sitting down, but for my knee and above I shave standing up so my leg is straight. It makes for fewer knicks behind the knee. You could also try one of those no-nick razors, with the wires over the blades. You don't get as clo...

Re: Frustrated by School
<t>I understand how your son feels. I am 17, and when I was younger I took dance, gymnastics, karate, played softball...and in all of these things, I had problems with my arm. I still have some problems with it. I am very arts oriented, and I was in my school's honors theatre group this year. In one...

Re: Going to see Physiatrist
<t>Yup, as well as psychologists and counselors. But that has nothing to do with my arm. That's because I'm supposedly ADD and depressive. I know I'm depressive, but the medicine doesn't help me. But don't listen to me, I'm rather bitter, cynical and sarcastic for my 18 years, and I know it. Good lu...

Re: Mid-20's and Just Learning
<t>Hi<br/> <br/> My name is Lindsey and I'm a 17 yo LOBPI. I have problems with hypersensitivity, which gets worse the further up my arm you get, and a numb spot on the back of my hand. I am also a musician. I play clarinet, oboe, and xylophone. I've done dance, gymnastics, and martial arts when I w...

Re: What reason is there for waring a brace
<t>What precisely do you mean by a brace? I wore a cast-type brace that covered my arm from wrist to shoulder and removable sometimes when I was younger, and I think that if I had kept wearing one periodically since then, my arm would be straighter than it is. Right now, my arm is visibly (to me) sh...

Re: need to find a Pediatric PT
Hey...
This isn't in VA but it's in Winston Salem NC, which isn't TOO far a drive from there.
My parents took me to Dr. Andrew Koman at Bowman Gray (sp?).
Good Luck!

Re: shaving under arms
<t>Hey<br/> It's nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem. Using my dad's moustache trimmer worked fairly well because of the narrowness of it...it could actually fit under my arm! Usually, though, because I'm too lazy to go use that to shave, I use one of those silk effects razors with t...
