Re: ?'s for those who have been thru ACR w/ Dr. Kozin
<t>Hi Lisa, <br/> I have been wondering about about you and Harper and wanted to know how she was doing. Haven't seen Christina in some time, since Olivia aged out of EI last month. Did you get the issue of Outreach? Just last night I was reading the article on ACR by Dr. Kozin (if you don't have it...

Re: Doctor in New York??
<t>I live not far from Stony Brook and used a neuorolist throught them for Olivia when she was an infant...I was never refered to that doctor (I was told there weren't any BPI specialists on Long Island and was referred to the city). I also saw another doctor at St. Charles on Long Island, who I bel...

Re: Travel Tips
We had to run to Target the morning we were being discharged from the hospital +and purchase a booster seat after Olivia's surgery, since she didn't fit in the car seat with the big bulky cast...so this is something to look into before traveling!

Re: Two Little Monkeys
<t>So Cute!! I just ordered one for me and one for Olivia. It's funny because I have 2 children and I have always called Olivia my little monkey because she has is such a climber, and gets into everything...even moreso since having her surgery with Dr. Kozin in October! What a wonderful idea you had...

Re: Is BPI always the doctors fault? (legally)
<t>I found this post quite interesting, in light of the fact that someone actually said to me recently "How can you prove that your daughter's injury didn't happen in utero? Whose to say that her arm wasn't injured before birth?" I wanted to RIP HIS HEAD OFF!! Besides the fact that:<br/> <br/> 1. my...

Re: Dr Nath NJ Clinic
<t>Kaiden's mom,<br/> Wow Adrianne gave you tons of great information!! When I started doing research on my daughter's injury, she was already 18 months old. I was too trusting and just went with what my pediatrician, neurosurgeon and PT said. When I began searching the internet, I found Dr. Nath. I...

Re: Anyone else have experience with this
<t>Olivia's left shoulder droops also, but I have not noticed anything with her chest. The sleeve on her left side is ALWAYS longer than the right-so annoying! I thought for a very long time it was because her left arm was shorter...the drs. and PT/OT insist it's not, that it's just because her shou...

Re: are tendon transfers and mod quads different?
<t>My daughter just had a tendon transfer in October w/ Dr. Kozin at Shriners. He transfered 2 tendons in the lattisimus dorsis (sorry if its misspelled). He did say that sometimes children wind up slightly more internally rotated than before the surgery. Her surgery was an amazing success. She went...
