Re: Pain :-( Any advice?
<t>I had my injury 3 years ago. I was on percacet for the pain in my shoulder and became addicted. That stuff gave me a good feeling but had no effect on the nerve pain which is our real problem. I decided to quit the drug and breaking my addiction was one of the hardest things I have ever done so b...

Re: Reply here if you are reading this TBPI forum regularly!
<t>I just found this site last night. I have read a lot of postings already and really see that there are a lot of us with similar problems. <br/> <br/> I had a ski malfunction in a Masters Ski race just short of my 66th birthday in April of 06. My left shoulder was torn apart but I stood up and ski...

Re: I'm one of the lucky ones!!
<t>I'm also one of the lucky ones. I had a great surgeon to put my shoulder back together after my accident and after three months of being unable to move anything from my left shoulder down except my bicep muscle a few other muscles showed a bit of function. It was a great day when I found I could ...

Re: new to this forum, any advice appreciated
<t>I am also new to this forum. If your progress proceeds as mine did there may be a reduction in the intensity of your pain. I remember the first time my doctor asked where I thought my pain was on a scale of 1 to 10. My reply was that it was constant at about 7 or 8 but at times it would shoot up ...

Re: Small Movement-Excitment
<t>I had my BP injury April 6 , 2006. In May my Neurologist could detect no nerve function in most of my arm. He believed a nerve transplant was my only chance but an MRI in June showed all nerves intact. A tiny quiver in my index finger in mid July wes a huge event. EMG results are still negative b...

Re: Hot and cold hands
If it is cold my hand feels like it is freezing. Even on a cool day I have to wear a glove. I ski a lot and cannot manage without a hot pad in my mitt. At night no matter the bedroom temperature I can't put my hand under the covers for any time because it gets too hot.

Re: Injured Skier Skis Again
<t>Congratulations Joel. My third anniversary will be on April 6. I have limited use of my left arm but work constantly on building strength. My injury happened three days before my 66th birthday on a training run for the National Masters Super G championships. Today was my 76th day of skiing this s...
