I don't know what state you are in. We love Dr. Stevanovic in Los Angeles, CA. I personally would fly across the country for him if it were me.

Re: Depostion Questions....
Give the shortest, most direct and concise answer as possible. And DON'T let them intimidate you! They either want you to feel terrible and squirm or will try the other extreme and act like they're your friend and really care to extort more information and lower your guard. If you have doubts, speak...

Re: Toddler Bed Fall-out Prevention
I just saw something that looks great. It's similar to the pool noodle under the bottom sheet that someone else mentioned. You can find it at gobedbug.com and I also saw them on ebay when I typed in kids bed rail. (Maybe called bed bug bumper?) My little one is turning 5, transitioning into a twin b...

Re: Dysgraphia
We were told 2 years ago through an IEP that Hannah's non-injured hand and arm were affected/suffered consequences from her BPI. She was assigned an OT in a school setting to help her improve her fine motor skills to her "good" hand. It was presumed by a few different therapists that her i...

Re: how do we recover...?
Here is the grief model called "The 7 Stages of Grief": 7 Stages of Grief... 1. SHOCK & DENIAL- You will probably react to learning of the loss with numbed disbelief. You may deny the reality of the loss at some level, in order to avoid the pain. Shock provides emotional protection fro...

Re: Toddler Bed Fall-out Prevention
I HAVE YOUR ANSWER... I got mine off of craigslist, but you can rig this yourself. Purchase a wood toddler bed with rails on each side. Instead of mounting them on each side, put them both on one side of the bed at each end of the bed. You will wind up with a few inch gap in the center that they can...

Re: Eating to regenerate nerve
Yeah, I was told that too. Over and over and over. You need to (under the care and advise of a receptive, knowlgeable Dr-for the meds- and an Occupational Therapist) address a lot of issues. You need to do ROM exercises ATC so that when/if the nerves do heal, the muscles can do their job. Also, you n...

Glen's getting a makeover...
Some time back, my little one and myself were playing and using our hands as puppets. We named them and since that time her left arm became Glen and her right arm became Ruby. This has been a HUGE benefit. No "left", "right", "good" or "bad". It's been mostly ...
