Re: could this cause a bpi injury????
I can only imagine the pain of being manually stretched (ripped) to 10 cm, OUCH!! However, I don't believe it's possible to push hard enough to exert the kind of pressure required to do nerve damage. Doesn't sound possible to me.

Anyone need a hotel room for Ohio Picnic?
<r>I got a hotel room through Priceline, so it's already been paid for. However, we won't be going to picnic afterall, so we won't need the room. If anyone can use this, please email at <EMAIL email="joshua1@mrmicro.net">joshua1@mrmicro.net</EMAIL> and I'll give you the details. Thanks, and I hope y...

Ohio Picnic?
I just tried to post this, but it didn't show up. Probably because I wasn't logged in.
Anway, I checked Francine's picnic page and didn't see an Ohio picnic listed yet. Any word on if/when it will be? Thanks!

Grammatical Error in the Press Release
<t>Just wanted to point this out so it can be fixed. The 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph reads, "Availability of brachial plexus statistics vary widely..." It should say varies. I know it's not a big deal, but I wanted to mention it so it can be fixed. I changed it before sending it to my local pa...

Which hand to write with?
<t>My son is right handed, it's his right arm that's injured. He does have very good rom in that hand, but he's never been able to write with it. I used to try to encourage him to write with his injured hand, but it was so frustrating for him, and he'd only do it when I was watching. The minute I tu...

Another reason for tingling/numbness in fingers
<t>The lack of calcium in the injured arm (related to the decreased movement) will cause tingling and numbness in the fingers. It can also cause muscle twitches, cramps, and tetany. Just learned this and thought I'd pass it along. I know a lot of us have kids who bite or chew on the fingers of the i...

Re: goofy question--soap eater--help
<t>Hello Christy,<br/> It sounds to me like pica. It's the same sort of strange "cravings" some pregnant women get, kids can have the same type of cravings for non-food items. There are lots of theories about why the strange cravings, but I don't think there's any one solid answer out there. For ins...

Re: Shots
<t>All injections I've ever heard of are given either in muscle, subcutaneous tissue, or in the dermis. There are many, many sites for each of these. I'm still a couple semesters shy of my nursing degree, so I could be way off, but I'd say there are alternative sites. The injured arm should never be...

Re: Pool Therapy, how well does it work?
<t>Our insurance will only cover therapy received in a hospital setting. But there are no pools for therapy at any local (or not so local) hospitals. This new therapy center is the only place with heated indoor pool. I'm still digging around, trying to find a way to get this covered, but for now, it...
