Re: TheraTogs? Success w/ scapular winging?
<t>We just got connected with Billi Cusick and she fitted my son with Therotogs. Scapular winginging is our main concern as well. We just started to wear it for a few days, can only hope to get results. But I would say it is worthwhile to purpue and try it out. We also recently found a therapist who...

Re: winging scapula?
Kate,
Do you know any effective way therapy or exercise to do? I was told that swimming is the best.
Please share what you know about this. We are
going to see Dr. Kozin next week.
Thanks.

Re: Philadelphia-Kozin
<t>We just came back from Philly and had a very good visit with Dr. Kozin. I don't have any info about hotels since we stayed with friends. On parking, you want to be careful since Shriner's parking is right in the middle of the building between 2 very small yellow Shriner's flags. The entrance is k...

Sounds like the Conwell Inn is not in a very good neighborhood. What about Holiday Inn, Is it in the good neighborhood. We plan to drive from hotel to the hospital.
I have always used Cindy's website to check out Shriner's info. Thanks, Cindy.

Re: tendon lengthening vs capsular release-Questions
<r>Dr.Kozin from Shriners Hospital for Children is familiar with capsule release surgeries. You may want to email him with your questions. He is very good at responding to emails. Although from reading his article, the capsule release surgery he does is mainly for BPI children under the age of eight...

Re: Shoulder dislocation
<t>At Midwest Symposium, I asked Dr. Nath why scapular winging is a "good thing". He said, it is only good in a sense that it shows the scapular is in the socket; therefore not dislocated.<br/> <br/> Also, scapular winging is the problem that Michael has. It causes his shoulder to drop down. He is f...

Re: World BPI Symposium
<t>It's great that Dr. Gilbert invited the support group leaders. I hope you guys will have a chance to ask questions and express your concerns on behalf of the BPI community. We always need new ideas on surgical intervention, timing of surgery, and non-surgical ways to improve the muscle strength a...
