Re: ANOTHER surgery was recommended

<t>Paula,<br/> <br/> I too think of it as "cosmetic", but lately I am starting to think differently. I asked Dr. Hoffer if he thought it was cosmetic, and he said he would never do anything "cosmetic" to any child. It is one surgery that never sat well with me. It just may be "our last resort".<br/>...

Re: ANOTHER surgery was recommended

<r>We saw Dr. Nath in August and he wants to RE-DO Alyssa's Triangle Tilt. She had the first one in May 2005 and lost all she gained from it. It just didn't sit well with me so I had a 2nd opinion with Dr. Hoffer about a week ago. He recommends we don't do anything at this time, and if anything in t...

Re: ACR - Ideal time frame (Age)?

<t>Hi Kate,<br/> <br/> Thanks for the response. Sounds like you know what you are talking about, and why I am asking the question. I can see what you mean by it not reforming itself, and there is no assurance that it can or will. What in your "opinion" do you think an older child with a malformed sh...

Great fundraising idea!

<r>I found this on the internet lastnight and we have already ordered ours! It is Sunkist and they are offering a free lemonade stand for kids 7 to 12, with your profits going to the charity of your choice (non-profit). We chose UBPN and explained to them the reason why (to help educate doctors etc....

SARO Brace - use with TT regression

Hello,

I am trying to find anyone that has decided to try and use the SARO brace after the TT and after regression from the TT. I am in the process of ordering the brace and was looking for any feedback.

Thanks,

Re: any of the kids roller skate?

<r>Hi,<br/> <br/> My daughter (9)LOBPI just recently learned to skate and is doing great! She was a bit nervous (as was I), but we took a couple classes at our local rink and she is getting better and better each week! I think your son should do just fine - maybe another parent/child who will be ska...

Just had to share...Alyssa's report at school

<t>Hi,<br/> <br/> I just wanted to share something with everyone..<br/> <br/> Alyssa's class (4th grade) is currently learning about medicine in our society. Alyssa came home lastnight and wanted to do a report on her BPI for extra credit. We went through all of our pictures from her surgeries and s...
