Re: Clothing after Tendon Transfer
<r>Might be a bit too late for an answer, but if you buy cheap t-shirts, a size bigger than normal, you can open the seams on the side that the cast will be on. Also, you can go to craft stores/Wal-mart and buy velcro tabs that stick on the clothing (no sewing needed) to close the flaps over the cas...

Re: Intra uterine brachial plexus injury
<t>While I feel a little disturbed about some replies to this post, and I am not looking to start a war, I would think that amputation would be a dire last resort option/suggestion, especially in this day and age of technology and constant scientific breakthroughs!<br/> <br/> I know that had I follo...

Re: Clothes after operation
What I've done is buy shirts a size or two bigger than what they normally wear, open the seams on the affected side, and then I know Walmart sells heat applied velcro (you don't have to sew) that will keep it closed under the bar and the cast.
Hope that helps!

Re: 2nd round of botox?
<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> Christopher has had about 5 rounds of botox to his internal rotators as well, and unfortunately, we will be undergoing the muscle/tendon transfer w/Kozin in January since the ACR didn't do it's job. His most recent Botox was early October/late September, and looking at the MR...

Re: ?'s for those who have been thru ACR w/ Dr. Kozin
<r>Hi Lisa,<br/> <br/> As Andrea had mentioned, our son Christopher also had the ACR surgery w/Kozin in May of '07. I think we were there overnight as well, could have been 2 days.<br/> <br/> The whole process from when they take the kids to when they bring them back to recovery is about an hour or ...

Re: My Research/Place to start
<r>Hi all,<br/> <br/> By no means did I mean to make this seem like this was the only way to go, and these the only doctors that out there. There are many other doctors out there that work in this field, and I'm only familiar with those on the East Coast, and again, there may be more here that I don...

My Research/Place to start
<r>Hi everyone,<br/> <br/> I've been reading the boards, and I see quite a few "lost souls". We've all been there at one point or another, and I thought I would post what we've found so far, as a starting point for some of the newer members, and for some of you with questions about where to go.<br/>...
