Re: New here.. Birth Erb's

Hi Donna, There used to be an active group in Europe but not sure if they still are. You might also want to check a few of the Facebook groups, just search for "brachial plexus" and three or four will show up. Hopefully he can either talk to someone or read some things people are doing. Li...

Re: electrical stimulation

Hi, The usual response is it doesn't do much for us, if the signal to the muscle isn't working, not much the E-Stim is going to do. Great he wants to play and just encourage him to go for it and he will figure it out. I'm 30 yrs in from my injury and not much I haven't done that I wanted to do. Dan

Re: Glad to find this group

Hi, I'd suggest getting to as bpi specialist ASAP. There are surgeries that can help and should be done sooner than later. There are a number of specialist around the country and you can search for a number if them on the "Resources" Tab, but here are two that would be a great starting poi...

Re: I'm a Newbie in Western NY

Hi Mary, Lot's to respond to but I'll see if I can at least cover a few questions. Each person experiences brachial plexus injuries differently, depends on the nerves injured and at what location. I avulsed all five, so I can respond based on my injury. Massage helps me with pain relief, helps get t...

Re: DREZ

Hi Trax, I will preface this comment with the fact that I know many others who have a lot more experience with this area and understanding the narcotics and other medical solutions to the pain. I have had my injury over 30 years, all five avulsions, and I have always been able to deal with my pain b...

Re: Looking for answers

Hi, Lot's going on with your post, which is usual for this injury. I have had my injury over 30 years and I avulsed all five. I would be happy to talk to you about some of this and I will see if I can get Christopher to respond to you on some of the pain issues. Especially as it relates to the narco...

Re: Hello

Hi Andy, I would be happy to talk on the phone with you about what you are dealing with. Both from the medical side as well as just dealing with getting back into life with the injury. I was injured over 29 years ago, avulsed all five, had surgery, have my bicep muscle, but that is all. My cell is 8...
