Re: Washing you hair..
<r>Well, I was always big on braiding my hair when I went to a sleepover anyway, just so I didn't have to wash my hair for a night... LOL<br/> <br/> As for the ponytail thing: I am ROBPI, and I've found a way to kneel in front of the bathroom sink mirror, prop the left arm up on the counter, and wor...

Re: numbness
Hey Judy,
What kind of braces do you use? I have had it suggested to me by one doctor that it might help, but I've moved and don't know what to ask for. Thanks.

Military hospital Injuries
<t>I hope that I am not repeating anyone's question here, but I just have to ask... how many people here have an OBPI thanks to the "wonderful" care that the military provides?<br/> <br/> I am a LOBPI, and I am starting to realize that the military tends to blow off this problem. I am just wondering...

Re: Introductions thanks to 20/20...lurkers welcome
<t>Hi Carolyn! I am so glad to read your post! I am currently in school for my degree in Paralegal Studies, and I have considered going through law school, but I wasn't sure if it was a feasible idea. What great hope you have brought me today, knowing that another BPI has done it! It is great to mee...

Hello to all; need your guidance!
<t>Hi everyone!<br/> <br/> Let me start by saying that finding this page and reading everyone's struggles and accomplishments has been very healing for me. I never knew that anyone else even knew what BPI was, let alone that there are others like me out there!<br/> <br/> I have a lobpi (see, I'm cat...

Re: anyone with elbow pain?
<t>Hi Tina,<br/> <br/> I see this is a little late, as I just found these boards. I have been experiencing the elbow pain recently, and it seemed to come up out of nowhere. It is a kind of an intermittant pain, comes in for about 30 seconds and then leaves for about a minute or two... a very sharp s...

Re: Utah OBPI
<t>Hi Staci,<br/> <br/> I'm not in Utah, but I am your neighbor in Idaho. I am new to this whole concept that I am not the only one with this kind of injury! I'd be very interested to know how your trek goes. I've never even been told by a doctor that there was an alternative or treatment for this. ...

Re: Does Erb's palsy affect your self esteem?
<t>Hi Trinda,<br/> <br/> I think the whole self-esteem issue is just like everything else in life - it is diffferent for each person. When I was very young, my parents raised me with the "can-do" attitude, and taught me that people loved me for who I was, not how I was made. For many years, that kep...

Re: Does Erb's palsy affect your self esteem?
<t>Hi Sarah, I had to laugh as I read your post - I have a noticable difference in the sides of my face... the left side (my bpi is on my left also) has less facial tone, and my left eye is definitely smaller, or at least more squinty (is that a word?) It is really getting more noticeable as I age, ...
