Re: More surgeries

My son is 14 and has had 6 surgeries with Dr Nath with in our opinion(and Dr Nath's...)great results!! There are some who haven't had the great experience with him, but we have. There is also Shriner's in Philly with Dr Kozin, another excellent surgeon!!

Re: Pain in afftected arm?

My son, Blake ROBPI didn't sleep well for at least the first year of his life..when we took him for primary surgery, the doctors said that some kids feel an odd sensation, kind of like "ants crawling in the arm"...I don't know, but he was a wonderful child when awake, just sleeping was har...

Re: Dr. Nath

Dr Nath is a very good doctor and as far as brachial plexus injuries, he really knows his stuff!! My son is 13 and was first operated on my Dr. Nath when he was 9 months old and has other surgeries w/nath since then and sees him on a yearly basis for follow up. He is a very good doctor. Re: Questions about osteotomy

we were so scared to have triangle tilt so we just kept putting it off, but you can't put off the inevitable...if you go to nath's website, it describes the surgery..we are 3 years post-op so I can't remember exactly he did. His arm is in a much better position now...not as much of the shoulder slum...

Re: Questions about osteotomy

my son had humeral and forearm osteotomy....neither were bad, scar about 3-4 inches long on front of arm(bicep area) for humeral and forearm, you can barely see it. He doesn't scar very well, we did scar massage and patches, it doesn't look great, but is getting better with time. Very easy, quick su...

Re: Joining the 36%

My son is 13 and has ROBPI. He has had 8 surgeries on his arm. We did as many of his surgeries as we could while he was still young, to try to avoid the troubles with other kids as he got older. His lastest surgery was 2 years ago and while he was out of school, his science teacher did a very nice p...

Re: arm length

My son is 13 and his is quite a bit shorter, and his hand is significantly smaller. He doesn't seem self conscious about it...and shows people the difference in his hands and they are like...WOW!

I hope it doesn't bother him later in life, he takes it all in stride right now.

Re: Humeral Osteotomy

BTW, how long after triangle tilt was it considered failed? Just wondering.... Hope yours has a quick recovery and excellent results! Good to hear that the w...
