Re: Update and Making Babies on Meds

<r>Hiya Gina, I don't want to come off as a naysayer but I think you 2 should wait just a little while before trying to conceive kids. I'm not trying to scare you but I work in the field involving developmental and handicapped children and adults. <br/> <br/> Definately discuss " THE WHOLE THING " w...

Re: What Professions do people have with BPI's?

My emg specialist is obpi. He singlehandedly ( no pun ) diagnosed the extent of my injury. Even performed the surgical emg directly to my spine.

I must say meeting him was rather inspiring !

Re: NEW INJURY AND SCARED

<r>My main surgeons card reads " hand and reconstructive surgery ". Sounded good to me ? What the heck was I gonna do ? After I figured out the " in's and out's " of it I realised I was in the best hands possible for my type of injury. In fact it was the Emg Dr. ( emg being a nerve conduction test )...

Re: just checking in

<t>Well I haven't had the chop just yet peeps. The fact that I know a prosthetic option is out there isn't new in my case. I think on day 3 after my accident they knew my hand would be rather dificult to get real movement. <br/> <br/> They did a bang up job on the rest of my arm though. My total fla...

Re: Amputation

Just a thought,

Chopping yer arm off won't stop central nervous pain.

If yer hand has the buzz, burn, clamp, thingy going amping it won't make much difference.

Your brain is still sending signals...

Re: Amputation

I hadn't seen my surgeon for almost 2 years and the second word out of his mouth was " have you ever thought of amping your lower arm ". <br/> <br/> They did a great job of strengthing my upper arm and elbow but the hand and wrist just ...
