Re: met with dr kevin cronin
<t>Hi Joy,<br/> <br/> Good to know he will try to do something...I had my lats moved into my shoulder to help with deltoid movement. Think my injury is different, and even though the movement they hoped would come didn't, it is an improvement. Most operations are only degrees of improvements in this...

met with dr kevin cronin
Hi Joy, think it was me,(not sure we are allowed to mention names on this board) as I found him very positive and best of all he has years of experience. Like you I stumbled upon the referral but do wonder why nobody thought to refer me to him for a few years when time was of the essence.

Re: screwing arm to shoulder what is the benifets
<t>Hi Joy,<br/> <br/> I have emailed you privately regarding name of surgeon in Dublin. I know you say it was the top of his spine, but generally in brachial injuries there are spinal segments correlating with nerves and these are c5,c6,c7,c8,T1 and each of these nerves supply muscles, ie. c5,c6, de...

Re: screwing arm to shoulder what is the benifets
<t>Hi Joy, I am from Ireland too and there is a specialist in the Mater who specialises in Brachial injuries. I have a traumatic bilateral c5,c6 injury, luckily my right arm has full range of movement just lacking strength. As you are in Naas you are close as well. 5 years seems like a long time to ...

I have been diagnosed with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome
<t>If you can raise your arm above your head the deltoid must be working, I have heard of Brachial neuritis seems to be rare but with good recovery rates. I imagine you need to be doing vigorous PT to try and get those muscles from not wasting too much, dont know how you mean it throws you into a fr...

Re: Bilateral obpi
Hello there Tina,
Good to hear from you, there are so few bilateral peeps on the board, I get worried if they disappear for a while.
Thought you might have won the lotto or something but things sound good with you anyhow.

Re: laser paralysis treatment??
<t>Yes I went twice to Albert Bohbet, not sure it really made a difference, as it was about 18months after injury and I was still healing. Some very interesting tingling was going on though after the laser. I doubt it would work for avulsed nerves as I can't see how but it may aid a stretched nerve ...
