Re:
<t>My child is a very intense child. When she was 6 months, I found the "Fussy Baby" book by Dr. Sears. He calls these kids "high need" children. I think babycenter.com has a bb that has high need children as a topic. Reading that book SAVED me, and it does talk about discipline issues. He also has ...

Re: Kinesiotape remover
<t>Use caution with this stuff, my child had a BAD reaction to this...probably because it was left on too long. What happened with us is that we were working it on the tape slowly, and my daughter wanted to "stop" for awhile. I have always pulled the tape off at her pace (she says stop when she want...

Re: c-section coming up this Tuesday.Does anyone have any advice?
<t>Enjoy no labor...ha ha ha. My c-section 2nd birth was a beautiful experience, I saw my baby after she was delivered. And, even though I already new the sex I had them call it out when she was delivered because I missed that the first time around...(the delivering doc never told me, the NICU dr to...

Dentist, speech, and BPI
<t>Okay, I'm not normally one to stretch the excuse of BPI to assume it encompasses all my daughter's issues (in no way am I implying that others do!!)...But, I think one of the great things about this board is that we can throw out off-the-wall ideas to see if others have had similiar experiences. ...

Re: California Guestbook
Dr. Hentz is listed here as a specialist. We've seen him about 3 times, he's also a hand specialist and is a part of Stanford's hand clinic, which they see BPI patients through this clinic once per month.

Re: Gait questions
<t>As for my dd. She walked at 1 yr, no swing in her BPI arm. She'll be 3 in July and is just starting to swing and put her arm out for balance...there's a wide gap in how each side of her body looks in terms of arm swing. She tends to shorten her trunk on her BPI side.<br/> <br/> She does have a sl...

Re: Gait questions
<t>Some other thoughts...Do you notice more pigeon-toeing on her BPI side? My dd's therapist told me that since BPI affects the total body, it can affect the toeing-in. The arm use affects the strength and stability of the trunk, which affects the strength and stability of the legs on down. It is so...
